Kavya Maran sun tv network has acquired all the stakes for Northern Superchargers. They bought the team for 100 million , they purchased the stakes from both England 49% share and Yorkshire 51% share. Already sun group has a team in IPL which is Sunrises Hyderabad who were champions in 2016.
And they have another team in SA 20 which is Sunrises Eastern Capes which won the two season back to back. Now they have acquired their third team which is Northern super chargers. Rpsg owner Sanjeev Goenka and Mumbai Indians also couldn’t buy full stakes which one was 70 percent bought by 81 million and other 49 percent by Ambani family for 60 millions.
None other team rather than Sun Group could buy the full stake of ownership for the hundred. Conducting this tournament will boost the investment to the game. Sun Group has shown the investment put will enhance the global guidance of the group.

Out of 8 teams 6 teams have been sold in auction to investors.
- London Spirits acquired by Consortium including Google, Microsoft, and Adobe 49 percent at the shared price of 145 million
- Oval Invincibles have been acquired by Ambani Family,49% of stakes at the price of 60 millions.
- Birmingham Phoenix have been bought by Knighthead Capital, 49 % of stakes at the price of 40 million
- Manchester Originals have been acquired by RPSG Group with 70% of stakes at the price of 81 million
- Welsh Fire has been acquired by Sanjay Govil (Washington Freedom) at the stake hold of 49% at the price of 40 million
- Northern Superchargers have been completely acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad at the stake hold of 100% at the price of 100 million.
