Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was founded in the year 2012, after 4 years of IPL inauguration, and made their IPL debut in 2013. The franchise is owned by Kalanithi Maran of the Sun TV Network right after the termination of Deccan Chargers by the IPL. 

Shortly after the Deccan Chargers were dismissed for indefinite financial problems, the SUN Group took over the contract for five years at a cost of ₹85.05 crore (US$9.8 million) annually.

Daniel Vettori is overseeing the Sunrisers Hyderabad as their coach at the moment. On December 20, 2012, the logo of the team was revealed. When they played their first match in 2013, they ended up finishing fourth in the Indian Premier League.

After a turbulent journey, the Sunrisers Hyderabad secured their first IPL trophy in 2016, defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by a margin of 8 runs. In 2018, the squad made it all the way to the IPL finals, where they were defeated by Chennai Super Kings.

The team has gained its popularity for being one of the best bowling sides and is often praised for its skills to defend low totals. Soon after this recognition, the team was also noticed for its remarkable batting side. 

International players like David Warner have made an impact by leading the run scorers for the side and also winning the title three times, winning the Orange Cap in the years 2015, 2017, and 2019. In addition to this, Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a name for himself as a great wicketkeeper by winning the Purple Cap twice, in 2016 and 2017.
