Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans or GT as they’re popularly known is a professional cricket team based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Founded in 2021 by CVC Capital Partners, GT is one of the youngest teams in the Indian Premier League. 

India’s national player Shubman Gill is in charge of the team’s captaincy. At 25 years of age, he is one of the youngest captains of the lot. However, despite being just four years and three seasons young in the tournament, the Titans do have a title to their name all credit to captain ‘Kung Fu Pandya’s’ knock (487 runs) and Mohammad Shami’s sharp spell (20 wickets).

While the Titans found their rhythm in 2022, lifting the cup, they couldn’t emulate the same performance the following season and finished the tournament as the runners-up. Unfortunately, they slipped even further down the ladder in the last iteration of the IPL, finishing eighth. 

The team kissed its first cup in its maiden season (2022). Motera’s Narendra Modi Stadium serves as the team’s home ground while former Indian ace pacer Ashish Nehra is the squad’s main coach.
