Shreyas Iyer former KKR captain and IPL winner of 2024 has parted his ways from the team. He possessed great bonding with the team management but after IPL 2024 suddenly the speculations revolved that Shreyas has decided to get into auctions of IPL 2025. It created a real buzz and became a talk of the town, Some sources claimed that Shreyas has informed the management not to retain him. Some claimed that that there is a small misunderstanding between Shreyas and team owners.
Shreyas claimed a bold statement on Monday via “Indian Express “which became a absolute shocker. He highlighted that there was lack of clarity from the team management. Iyer played last year IPL season with few injuries but he didn’t head over his problems to the game and made them champions . He claimed despite being part of the leadership group, he felt that key decisions were made without sufficient consultation with the players, leaving him in the dark at crucial moments.
He go on saying that I don’t know after the IPL 2024 no one contacted me, if you get to know about things prior one week before the auction then how you feel. Then I decided its best time to leave.
But there is a different opinion from former KKR player Aakash Chopra, He claimed in his YouTube channel that how can a management can exclude their captain on retention talks. On my regain source they had talked to him, Infact it was not just talking it was a lengthy talk between them don’t want to disclose here . I am sure, I too have reliable some sources he said.
