Born in Adelaide, Australia, Spencer Johnson is the sole Aussie presence in Kolkata. The left-arm fast bowler comes from a family of sports personalities. His father, Greg, was a premiership footballer at South Broken Hill before joining the South Australian National Football League with West Adelaide, the same club that the 29-year-old’s siblings Oliver and Isaac also represented at senior level. 

Having made his IPL debut with KKR last season, the Aussie pacer is yet to showcase something memorable. Out of the five matches he played, he managed to pick up four wickets with a best bowling margin of 2/25.
