23-year-old Riyan Parag is a right handed middle order batter born in Assam’s Guwahati. Parag is a batting all rounder and a solid right-arm leg spin and off spin bowler. He was also part of the Indian side that won the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Having joined the Rajasthan side in 2019, Parag showed his skill in the maiden season, knocking a stellar 49-ball 50 against Delhi Capitals. This knock made him the youngest player in the IPL to score a half century. He was just 17 back then!
Not to mention the fact that the youngster is also a dynamic fielder. In IPL 2022, he took 17 catches – the most by any non-wicketkeeper in the tournament. His best performance came last year, totaling 573 runs with a best score of 84* against Delhi Capitals.
