Raj Bawa will be taking the mound for the Mumbai Indians during the IPL 2025 season. He previously represented India International in the Under 19 International Series, the Under 19 World Cup, and the Under 19 Asia Cup. The 22-year-old is the grandson of Trilochan Singh Bawa, who was a player of the Olympic gold-winning Indian hockey team at the London 1948 Games hailing from Nahan in Himachal Pradesh.
While he made his first-class debut in February 2022 against Hyderabad during the prestigious Ranji Trophy, Bawa turned heads at the 19 World Cup for scoring a total of 252 runs over five innings. One of his more distinguished innings includes scoring 162* runs against Uganda. His consistency has proven critical during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024, suggesting that he may be settling comfortably in with the One Family.
