The current New Zealand limited-over captain, Mitchell Santner is another Kiwi besides Boult in Mumbai. Despite being brought in by CSK in 2018 for 50 Lakhs, Santner’s international performance have upped his stocks big time, earning himself a 2 Cr price tag at MI. 

He was roped in as Daniel Vettori’s replacement since the NZ national team was on the lookout for a left-handed bowler. His consistency caught the attention of the national selectors who made him the team captain later on in 2020. 

In total, he has garnered 14 wickets out of 18 matches with a best bowling figure of 2/13.
