A young sensation from Patiala, 27-year-old  Mayank Markande is a classic right-arm leg-break bowler who can deceive the batter with his flighted deliveries and stunning varieties. He made his international debut for India in 2019. 

Before this, he was at Mumbai Indians in 2018 where he picked off 15 wickets, averaging 24.53. The young spinner made the headlines when he dismissed former Indian captain MS Dhoni with a ravishing googly. He followed it up by picking up a 4 wicket haul against Hyderabad which allowed him to wear the purple cap for a brief period.
