Bevon Jacobs, who was born in South Africa and moved to New Zealand, will play as a middle-order batsman for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming 2025 season. He rose to prominence for being one of the best performers in the 2023-24 Super Smash. 

Making his debut at the Eden Park Outer Oval in Auckland, Jacobs stole the spotlight during the Super Smash as he went after New Zealand A seamer Sean Solia, and international cricketer Jimmy Neesham, scoring 42 runs off only 20 balls and giving remarkable performances in all his games. 

While playing for the Canterbury Kings, he became renowned as a finisher, scoring 134 runs across 6 innings with a strike rate of 188.73, which places him only behind Doug Bracewell in second.
