Having played for Uttarakhand in the domestic circle and Mumbai Indians, the Roorkee-native has captured the spotlight with his nippy yorkers. The 31-year-old is a menace to face in the death overs given his prowess with the ball. In 2023 Madhwal made his IPL debut for MI against the Punjab Kings and showed glimpses of promise. The right arm medium pace bowler kept improving with every match and emerged as a crucial bowler for MI that season, especially in powerplays and the death overs. 

These consistent performances along with an exceptional 5-wicket haul against Lucknow Super Giants grabbed the attention of IPL scouters. And consequently in the 2025 auction, the bowler was roped in to the RR side.
