Following a rather tumultuous season at Chennai Super Kings – 242 runs with a highest score of 42 – former Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane is eyeing a promising outset in 2025 at KKR. The management spent 1.5 Cr to acquire the 36-year-old to defend their reigning championship. 

Coming on to his credentials, Rahane needs no formal introduction. The right-hand batsman is an experienced campaigner who has previously played for Mumbai, India, and various IPL franchises. Having learned the basics of the sport from the best – Shane Watson & Rahul Dravid during his time in Rajasthan Royals back in 2012, Rahane has matured into a prolific run-scorer at the top order. 

His best knock came in 2019 when he scored a brilliant 105* which to date remains his highest score. Not to mention his sensational and consistent show at CSK where he came to bat at no.3, scoring at an extraordinary strike rate of 175+ in all the games.
