With just a few days left for IPL 2025 to begin, all teams are preparing with great enthusiasm. However, in the midst of this, Mumbai Indians have received bad news. Yes, it is being reported that Mumbai Indian’s experienced player, Jastprit Bumrah might be unavailable for the start of IPL 2025 or even for the first two weeks. It is expected that Bumarh could join the Mumbai Indians squad in April. He may miss three to four matches for Mumbai as he suffered a lower back injury during the Australia tour and was advised to rest.
Currently, Jasprit Bumrah is undergoing rehabilitation at BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bangalore. Due to this, he might miss the initial phase of IPL 2025.
According to BCCI sources, Jasprit Bumrah’s medical reports are fine and he has started training at the Centre of Excellence. However, it is impossible that he will be able to bowl in the initial days of the IPL. Given the current situation, he is expected to make a comeback in the first week of April.

Sources have stated that this is not part of the standard operating procedures and the medical team will gradually increase his workload. Until he is able to bowl at full intensity for a few days without any discomfort, he is unlikely to receive medical clearance.
Additionally, immediately after the IPL, India is set to play a five-match Test series in England. Therefore, ensuring Bumrah’s fitness for the England Tests remains a top priority.
