Tamilnadu Ranji team star all rounder Vijay Shankar scored a brilliant 150 run recusing the team from 46/4. This was the match between Chandigarh and Tamilnadu in group D fixture. In the second innings of the game Tamilnadu team were in deep trouble where they lost their 4 quick wickets.
Then comes Vijay Shankar who is recently picked by Chennai Super Kings for the rescue. From the start of his he didn’t lose any confidence and not detained that they were 4 wickets down. He went down with the flow. Soon he got his batting rhythm and played some extra ordinary shorts. Once he crossed his fifty he started his counter attack part which gave a upper hand on the bowlers of Chandigarh. Suddenly the momentum started drifting drastically.
Vijay Shankar scored a brilliant century which carry forwarding it into 150. This is highest individual score of Vijay Shankar in Fc cricket. From 46/4 Tamilnadu reached 305/6 where they declared the innings. Though Chandigarh batters can’t able to defend the score. They lost wickets in quick intervals and soon the game got ended embarking Tamilnadu 209 run victory.
After the win Vijay Shankar expressed himself as it is a perfect birthday gift for him. Stating that he didn’t thought of the big score generally batters of top 3 gets the chance of scoring big score and the position he bats that is quite difficult, but he likes that challenge and he welcomes it.
Recently in IPL auction 2025 happened in Jeddah, Vijay Shankar has been picked by Chennai Super Kings at the price of 4 crore and can be a handy all rounder for Csk in the upcoming IPL season.
