The 18th season of the IPL is just a few days away and all the teams are highly excited for IPL 2025. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have suffered a major setback ahead of the upcoming season. KKR’s fast bowler whom they had acquired for IPL 2025 and who had already made a name for himself in the league, is now ruled out due to injury. He had impressed everyone with his ability to bowl at a speed of 150 KM/H during a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2021, while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), he was initially selected as a net bowler for the IPL. However, due to his injury he will now miss IPL 2025. To replace him, KKR has brought in Chetan Sakariya.
KKR’s first match in IPL 2025 will be against RCB on March 22. Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how Chetan Sakariya performs for KKR, as he has been selected in place of Umran Malik.
