Aasha Sobhana Ruled Out of WPL 2025 | Nuzhat Praveen Joins RCB

The women’s Premier League 2025 (WPL) will begin tomorrow in Vadodara with a clash between defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants. Through social media, RCB WPL team announced Aasha Sobhana has been ruled out of WPL 2025 due to a knee Injury. The Franchise has announced that wicket-keeper- batter Nuzhat Praveen has been named as her replacement.

Aasha Sobhana has delivered remarkable performance so for RCB. Her standout performance came when she took 5 wickets for just 22 runs in a single match. She has also represented team India in 6 T20 matches, claiming 6 wickets, and has played 2 one day internationals for India, taking 4 wickets in this format.

Nuzhat Praveen is an Indian wicketkeeper who plays for Railways in domestic One-day matches. She won the women’s Senior T20 trophy and was also the captain of the Madhya Pradesh Under-16 football team. Railway’s wicket-keeper Praveen has played 5 T20 matches for India and will join RCB at her base price of 30 lakh rupees.

Aasha Sobhana is an Indian cricketer who plays for the domestic Panducherry women’s cricket team and for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Women’s Premier League. She is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls leg break. In February 2024, she took 5 wickets for 26 runs, helping RCB defeat UP Warriors by 2 runs during the 2024 Women’s Premier League. She became the first Indian player to take 5 wickets in the Indian league.
