The thriller ones are the most conceptualize ones which just not increase the trp of the match but just keeps you at the edge of your seats. The dramatic ending of the match creates a huge hype for the league and for the match too. Today in our segment we are going to witness such matches which just kept your bp up and down.
1.Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals
This match was so important for Mumbai Indians to be in the race of playoffs. Rajasthan were batting first so it means Mumbai had to chase down the target whatever put up by Rajasthan, It was a easy scenario for RR win the match and playoffs deal was done. But for Mumbai not the easy task as they had to chase down the target in 14.3 overs as their run rate was so poor in that season
Rajasthan made the huge total of 190 there were some brutal hitting from Sanju Samson and Karun Nair. Mumbai had the huge mountain to climb but though. But Mumbai took up the challenge and geared up with the help of Corey Anderson who became the leader of command smashing bowlers all over the park. Mumbai reached so close where the required 9 of 3 balls which made the situation so tight.
At the end of three balls the score were tied and Mumbai still had the single ball left to win the game and that’s where the magic happened where Aditya Tare take on James Faulkner ball to a huge six and made Mumbai over the line. That was the pure excitement of thriller which was unexpected to be pulled off.
2. Rising Pune Super Gaints vs Kings xi Punjab
This were the times where allegations took place on Csk and RR team and they were suspended for 2 years where two new teams were formed Rising Pune Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Lions were formed. This was the match between RPSG vs Kings xi Punjab. For RPS the 2016 IPL tournament was a closure once because they were already out of playoff race due to many defeats in early matches.
It was nothing to lose kind of match which produced the thrill out of it. Punjab opted to bat and scored 172 runs which would be a big task for MS Dhoni team. Same of like happened where Pune team started to lose wickets in intervals by the time Dhoni arrived half of the team was in dugout. It was the last over of the match and RPS required 23 runs to win from those 6 balls which was quite unbelievable.
The form in which Dhoni too was not sufficient for him to score too. Dhoni took the charge for last over and the ball was given to Axar patel. The first ball was a duck but the real match started after that where Dhoni took charge of remaining 5 balls. Next was a wide . Third ball was six then the hit a boundary 12 was required from last 2 balls. Dhoni did what he was best known for hitting those two balls for sixes and finished the match which looked un matched at once.
3. Royal Challengers vs Deccan Chargers The final
The 2009 finals was the one where RCB had the highest possibilities of winning the final. RCB captain Anil Kumble won the toss and elected to field first and that decision was extremely the judgement of personification which kumble has for the game. Deccan Charges couldn’t withold RCB bowling. First Gilchrist went out cheaply and with the next over T Suman was gone but Gibbs stood there. Wickets were kept felling at one end but Gibbs stood and made half century, though Rohit Shamra was there for contribution but couldn’t last long.
Anyway Deccan Chargers posted the total of 143 and it was time for the chase the type of batting they had it would been a cakewalk for them but what happened after the innings break was quite shocking. Rp singh was leading the bowling line where he removed the top 3 within the over. RCB kept on losing wickets though Roelof van der Merwe and Ross Taylor tried their level best to get the win but at last RCB lost the match by six runs.
