Lucknow Super Giants All rounder Mitchell Marsh Doubtful for IPL 2025

Australian all rounder Mitchell Marsh is been ruled out of Champions Trophy and considered doubtful for this season IPL 2025. Marsh is suffering from lower back pain which caused him to rule out from Champions Trophy which starts from February 19.

Mitchell Marsh had a significant role in BGT but not enough as the main bowlers like Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, even in batting his too he was not upto the mark as he was dismissed easily. Earlier Cricket Australia announced Marsh is suffering from lower back pain and dysfunction. which rules him out from Champions Trophy. Even captain Pat Cummins is on rehab for his ankle injury which also makes him doubtful.

Yet they have announced him as captain, on recent basis CA have updated that they will soon announce the replacement of Mitchell Marsh as the deadline of Champions Trophy is till 12 February. Marsh will undergo a rest for a longer period.

Lucknow gets a big blow before IPL

Mitchell Marsh has been bought by Lucknow Super Giants at the price of 3 crore. Getting Marsh for 3 crores was way beneficial for Lucknow. But the recent news been not good for them. He would have been good asset for Lucknow Ekana Stadium which is home ground for them where ball gets gripped if consistently hit the ball.

As CA has mentioned that it would take significant time for Marsh to rehab its almost confirm that he won’t be available for IPL too and Lucknow may target for any other player for his replacement.
