Born in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, 34-year-old Deepak Chahar shot into fame during his time in ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. It is here where the right arm medium pace swing bowler learns the niches of the sport.
Having a solid foundation in domestic cricket, playing for Rajasthan, Chahar quickly metamorphosized into a wicket-taking machine. In 2019, he shook up the world, amassing a total of 22 wickets from 17 matches. The same year he achieved another feat, becoming the first Indian male cricketer to take a hat trick in a T20I against a dangerous Bangladesh.
Now with him coming over to MI, the pace has certainly swung in favor of the team!
