Ravichandran Ashwin is considered as India’s all time great spin bowler. Born on 17 September 1986 in Chennai. Ashwin is known for his various varaitions like carrom ball, leg spin and the stock ball. Ashwin started his ipl journey through its inaugural season where he was part of Chennai super kings, though he didn’t get enough chances in the first two seasons, but in 2010 he made a huge impact , removing Gayle in the finals and making a huge mark for him. He played with them for 6 season and after the ban of csk he was drafted to Rising Pune Super Gaints.

Soon after a break of one year he returned to Ipl in 2018 who was picked by kings eleven Punjab where he was handed over the captaincy. There came the famous mankading incident against Butler which was the talk of the town. After that he was released by them and was picked by Delhi Capitals where his performance was a decent one. At the mega auction of 2022 he was picked by Rajasthan Royals at a price of 5 crore. Ashwin is been a keen performer wherever he goes as the record speaks for him. Chennai Super Kings has once again picked Ashwin at the price of 9.75 crore.
